On Tuesday 26 March we had an exceptional Year 4 play of The Jungle Book performed in our wonderful theatre space, complete with professional lighting, sound and staging. The girls and teachers had been working tirelessly to prepare the scenery and costumes and, of course, in their rehearsals. We’re sure our Year 4 parents loved the event and managed to buy some beautiful shots of their daughter curtesy of Paul Upward photography. Many thanks to Miss Moss for directing such an amazing show and to our super star performers for all their hard work and enthusiasm.

“This story is a wonderful story produced around the world. The Jungle Book is about a boy called Mowgli, Baloo the Bear, Bagheera the black panther, The Wolf pack, and Shere Khan. Shere Khan wants to kidnap Mowgli. On the way of your journey you will meet funny and sssscary characters.
Practicing for the show was quite hard, we learnt dances, scenes and songs! We started practicing our play everyday from the 18th of March. I liked the dance “I wanna be like you”. It’s fun, active and has lots of expression. In our play we have the jungle monkeys, they are cheeky and funny also we get to mess around and be loud but at the same time we were actually acting. We had amazing costumes.
I play the wolf, Rama, the wolves are protective, fearful and we had to be quite serious, the wolves also have to keep pack rules. I was amazed at what we had achieved but I was astonished how tired I was!
Thank you to our amazing Drama teacher, Miss Moss, and thank you to our amazing Music teacher, Miss Guy.”
