In Year 1 the girls have been enjoying their ‘What a Hoot!’ topic. To complement their learning they enjoyed a very exciting visit from the Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre. The girls were delighted to meet Bailey the Barn Owl, Ash the Tawney Owl, Charlie the Indian Eagle Owl and Pip the Little Owl. As well as learning lots of amazing facts, the girls had the opportunity to see owl eggs, owl sculls and even owl pellets! They loved hearing about how owl pellets are formed and seeing the tiny mice bones inside. The best part of the visit was holding Pip the Little Owl who loved posing for the photos!
