To support their topic of The Tudors this term, girls in Year 5 visited Hampton Court Palace. They explored the kitchens, Great Hall, Council Chamber, Chapel and even the tennis court. The girls also took part in a workshop where they explored what young Henry Tudor was like and how he changed from a young man who was relaxed and fun and enjoyed sport and hunting, to a paranoid, obsessed tyrant. It was exciting to see the girls exploring the amazing Palace as well as imagining what it would have been like to have been there when Henry VIII was alive. It certainly brought The Tudor era to life.
