In Year 6 Science, the girls have been learning about classification. This week the girls focused on invertebrates and learnt about the sub groups that invertebrates belong to such as the Arthropods (insects, arachnids, crustaceans, and myriapods), Molluscs (slugs and snails) and Worms.
We’re fortunate to have rich outdoor, woodland areas to explore and this is where the girls hunted for invertebrates, identifying what they found using diagnostic features and identification keys.
Head of Science, Mr Kalyan, was very proud of their Scientific enquiry as they followed in the footsteps of the Pioneer of Classification, Carl Linnaeus.
