Year 6 absolutely mesmerised the school with their energetic performance of Matilda The Musical Jr. (adapted for performance by students).
For the first time, the production ran over two evenings which involved two sets of main cast members. The girls had to learn their ‘main’ role for one performance and then be part of the chorus on the other night. The way they switched roles was absolutely flawless and a credit to their effort, enthusiasm and professionalism! They were thoroughly entertaining and we saw some larger-than-life characters own the stage! It was emotional watching this extremely talented year group put on such and incredibly delightful show. They raised the roof with their singing, danced and acted their socks off and made the audience laugh and cry (one of our reception girls said, ‘I nearly cried happy tears’!)
Miss Moss is so proud of every single Year 6 girl, they demonstrated brilliant collaboration to learn such an iconic show and they deserved the thunderous applause.
Miss Moss said “As my last show here at Maltman’s Green, I am struck, as always, by the talent that we have in the school, and I know every single one of these girls will continue to shine! In the essence of Miss Trunchball – Go maggots!”
